Headlight Repair by Make and Model
Find your car below to see what tends to go wrong with its headlights and how the original unit is put right. Each page deals with xenon and LED headlights, where the answer is a new lens, a reseal, a running light or an electronic part rather than a whole new headlight.

Other makes, by fault
No page for your car yet? The repair depends on the fault, not the badge, so these makes are handled the same way.
- Running lights dim, yellow or out: Nissan Juke and Qashqai, Peugeot 208 and 308, Hyundai, Jeep.
- Lens cracked, crazed or cloudy: Volvo V40, Citroën, Dacia, Smart.
- Water inside, LED or xenon faults: Jaguar, Tesla Model S and other recent units.
Halogen headlights are rarely worth repairing because a new one costs little, and rear lights, which are sealed by heat at the factory, are not repaired at all. For the full list of repairs, see Headlight Repair Services.
What every model page covers
Each make and model page names the generations, the headlight types fitted and the faults that crop up, then explains what is renewed inside the unit and what is left alone. Where the MOT inspection manual has something to say about the fault, the page says that too.
If water inside the lens is your only problem, How to Remove Condensation From a Headlight lists what you can try yourself before you book anything.
