Audi Headlight Repair
Audi headlight repair keeps your own xenon, LED or Matrix unit and renews whatever has failed inside it, from a scorched running light to a cracked lens. Pick your model below to see the faults it tends to develop and how each one is dealt with.

Audi models with their own page
Matrix LED headlights: the module is changed, not the unit
A Matrix headlight that shows a warning or loses part of its pattern usually has a faulty Matrix module. That module cannot be repaired at component level, so a replacement module is fitted inside your existing headlight.
The housing, lens, running light and wiring all stay. Send a photo of the warning on the dash along with the unit.
Audi TT: crazed and cracked lenses
The TT sits low, and its headlight lenses take a beating from road grit. A lens that has crazed or split is replaced with a new one on the original housing, the same way as on the larger models.
Condensation in Audi headlights
Damp inside an Audi unit, on any model, comes back until the seal is renewed. The lens is lifted, the joint cleaned and the headlight resealed; a reflector that has lost its chrome to the water can be re-coated while it is open.

Audi headlight questions
My Audi is not listed above. Can its headlight still be repaired?
In most cases, yes, provided it is a xenon or LED unit. Send a photo and the model, and you will get a straight answer.
Are xenon ballasts on Audi headlights repaired or replaced?
Replaced. A failed ballast, igniter or control unit is swapped for a new part rather than opened up.
