Passat: lens replacement
Passat headlights cover a lot of motorway miles, and over time the lens can craze, yellow or crack. The lens is replaced on your original housing and resealed, with the projector and electronics left in place.
Tiguan: lens replacement
The same work applies to the Tiguan. Tell us the year and whether the car has halogen, xenon or LED lights, and include a close photo of the lens.
Faults shared across Volkswagen headlights
- Running light strip scorched yellow, or its LED board dead.
- Xenon ballast or igniter failed, leaving one side dark.
- Droplets inside after rain, from a seal that has given way.
- Broken mounting tabs after a knock, fixed with a tab kit or a new rear housing.

What to send for a Volkswagen headlight
- The model and year, or the full registration date if you have it.
- A daylight photo of the whole headlight and one taken with the lights switched on.
- A short video if the fault comes and goes, such as a flickering running light.
