Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use this website, ask for a quote or send a headlight to be repaired. Please read them before you accept a quote.

Who we are
This website is run by the business that trades as Headlight Repair Shop. Company number and registered office: supplied on request through the quote form. You can contact us through the quote form.
Quotes
A quote is based on the photos and details you send. It says what we expect to do and what it will cost, and it is free and without obligation. Nothing is repaired and nothing is charged until you accept it.
Some faults only show once the headlight is opened on the bench. If the work needed turns out to be different from the quote, we tell you and ask before doing anything else. If you say no, the headlight comes back to you as it arrived.
Sending the headlight
How the headlight is collected and returned, and what that costs, is set out in your quote. Pack it as the instructions in the quote describe: a headlight that is damaged in transit because it was badly packed may not be repairable.
We repair headlights sent from addresses in the United Kingdom only.
The repair
We repair or renew the part that has failed inside your headlight and test it before it goes back. A damaged lens is replaced, not polished. Where a headlight cannot be repaired to a safe and working standard, we say so and return it.
Fitting the headlight to the car, and any coding or headlight aim adjustment the car needs afterwards, is not part of the repair unless your quote says otherwise.
Time, payment and guarantee
- Turnaround: confirmed in your quote.
- Payment: how and when to pay is set out in your quote. Prices for private customers include VAT.
- Guarantee: the terms of any guarantee are set out in your quote.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires the repair to be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If it is not, you can ask us to put it right or, where that is not possible, to give you some or all of your money back. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights.
Because you accept a quote at a distance, you can cancel within 14 days of accepting it under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start the repair within those 14 days, you may have to pay for work already done, and you lose the right to cancel once the repair is finished.
Business customers
If you send a headlight as a business, such as a bodyshop, garage, motor trader or fleet operator, the consumer rights above do not apply in the same way, and any trade terms agreed with you in writing take precedence over these terms.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses suffered by a consumer. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
This website
The information on this site is general and does not replace an inspection of your headlight. Car makes and model names are used only to identify which vehicles a headlight belongs to.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please tell us about any problem first so we can try to resolve it.
